Lately I've been listening to the Shangri-Las on repeat.Leader of the Pack was on a mixtape that was permanently in our car stereo when I was little, their music is a bit darker than that of other 60's girl bands, they were kind of odd looking and just generally seemed like they didn't give a shit-what's not to like!
Love this. I went through a shangri-la's on repeat phase earlier this year and filled tons of sketchbook pages trying to capture them, nothing as near as good as this piece.
